Come per il fenomeno acustico in cui il suono, riflettendosi contro un ostacolo, torna ad essere udito nel punto in cui è stato emesso, ECHO è un progetto sul ritorno, sulla riscoperta di vecchi e nuovi scarti della lavorazione del marmo.
As for the acoustic phenomenon in which the sound, reflecting against an obstacle, returns to be heard at the point where it was emitted, ECHO is a project on the return, on the rediscovery of old and new waste from marble processing.
Il tutto parte dalla lastra in travertino che viene posta sotto i blocchi per le operazione di taglio. Questa lastra al momento che viene tolta dal macchinario per essere eliminata, presenta una trama tridimensionale data dalla casualità dei molteplici tagli.
Combinando varie lastre di marmo di colore e dimensione diversa e il travertino, si creano dei motivi di linee verticali ed orizzontali, che danno vita ad un insieme di graficismi sia tattili che visivi.
Un processo dissacrante che tende attraverso il recupero dello scarto, di dare un nuovo valore ad uno dei materiali più iconici dell'architettura e dell'arte.
Everything starts from the travertine slab which is placed under the blocks for the cutting operation. This slab, when it is removed from the machine to be eliminated, has a three-dimensional texture given by the randomness of the multiple cuts.
By combining various marble slabs of different colors and sizes and travertine, motifs of vertical and horizontal lines are created, which give life to a set of both tactile and visual graphics.
A desecrating process that tends through the recovery of waste, to give a new value to one of the most iconic materials of architecture and art.

Il progetto ECHO, nasce da un idea di Marco Barazzuoli, designer ed artista, e Carlos Berrettini, artigiano del marmo di terza generazione della ARS MARMI. Azienda che ha vita da un laboratorio attivo a Siena dal 1910, e che da oltre 25 anni si occupa della lavorazione di pietre e marmo, collaborando con architetti, designer ed artisti internazionali.
The ECHO project was born from an idea by Marco Barazzuoli, designer and artist, and Carlos Berrettini, third generation marble craftsman of ARS MARMI. Company that lives from a laboratory active in Siena since 1910, and which for over 25 years has been involved in the processing of stones and marble, collaborating with international architects, designers and artists.
